Course Information

Riverlands C.C. staffs eight full-time crew members in our maintenance department year round and are lead by GCS James (Randy) Smith. Our course is rarely closed due to inclement weather. Our staff takes pride in keeping Riverlands in great shape. Our goal is to provide the best golfing conditions possible year round.

While Riverlands was established in 1961 it was upgraded in 1998 and 1999 with a complete computer operated irrigation system and the rebuilding of our greens. Our greens had been push-up style greens. They were expanded with a total of 30% more putting surface, added subsurface drainage and planted with TifEagle Ultradwarf Bermuda. They have an average rolling speed of 9 1/2″ on the stimp meter year round (although during the mid winter they can get up to 11 1/2″.

Riverlands Maintenance Crew is almost constantly making new improvements to our course. Some times we will dig new lakes and add new mounding to our fairways and roughs and other times we are renovating existing sand bunkers or adding new ones. We strive to make improvements for our membership to enjoy day in and day out.

Our course is full of Majestic Oaks, Pines and Maple Trees which brings an added dimension to your golf game. Our course is also built on a rectangle of 126 acres with 10 freshwater tidal ponds. Its rectangle design is loved by outside tournaments due to the ability for participants to interact with each other from one hole to the next, and their ability to set up their booths to handle multiple holes.
